EXO Lay, Turns into Volunteer Worker to Support Homecomers in China!

Hot global trend, EXO’s Lay participated in the public service for homecomers in China for Spring Festival, one of typical festivals of China.

EXO’s Lay spent meaningful time by participating as a volunteer in the ‘Love To Go Home (Sharing love and care with those who are traveling thousands of miles to return home)’, the public service event held at the highway service area located in Yunfu, Guangdong, China on February 13.

‘Love To Go Home’ is the public service event that AIMA, China’s representative electric rail car and bicycle maker, holds during the Spring Festival for homecomers traveling on their motorcycles, and this year, they set up temporary service areas on 4 locations on the highway in cooperation with Yunfu Government and has been holding the event with the police and a large number of volunteers between February 4 ~ 15.

Especially, Lay drew eyes as he participated in this service by representing EXO members who are modeling for AIMA, and he, turned into a volunteer, received great responses from local fans while communicating with and handing out various items such as scarf, hot pack, emergency medicine, instant noodle soup, mineral water, and toy to homecomers and made bigger news by receiving the plaque of thanks from AIMA for enhancing Korea-China Cultural Exchange and taking initiatives for public service activities.

For this is the first time a celebrity like EXO’s Lay participated voluntarily in the public service, a number of reporters of the Chinese speaking world such as ‘CCTV’, ‘Xinhua’, ‘Tencent, ‘Sohu’, ‘Guangdong TV’, ‘Shenzhen TV’, ‘Shandong TV’, ‘Anhui TV’, ‘Nanfang TV’, ‘Hong Kong Business Newspaper’, ‘Hong Kong Apply Daily’, and ‘Guangdong Daily’ came and competed to cover the story, showing great popularity of EXO in China.

Meanwhile, EXO will be holding their second solo concert titled ‘EXO PLANET #2 - The EXO’luXion -‘ at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium for 5 days between March 7 ~ 8 and between March 13 ~ 15.
